As a senior in college, I also interned with KGTV’s investigations team. Below are videos of the two larger investigations in which I was the lead researcher for the I-Team during Spring 2009. Click on the images below for the video files on the 10news.com Web site.
The first covers sex offenders staying at local hotels catered to families on vacation. I backgrounded the offenders, pulled the criminal records, went undercover, shot video footage and researched all you could know about sex offender laws and placement.
The second covers a gypsy family who runs most psychic parlors in San Diego (and beyond) and the crafty swindling, identity theft and elderly abuse they pull off. I had the opportunity to go undercover on this story as well.
